Ketamine Services

Depression is one of the most common diagnoses treated in mental health. For some individuals, traditional medications have not alleviated their debilitating symptoms.

Ketamine offers a different approach. Unlike most standard antidepressants, ketamine works by targeting glutamate—the brain’s most abundant neurotransmitter—used by nearly 40% of receptors. This unique mechanism can lead to rapid improvement in depressive symptoms for many patients.

When administered under medical supervision, ketamine has been shown to be both safe and effective. At Focused Life Clinic, we believe in the power of ketamine. Call and schedule today to learn more and see if ketamine treatment is the right fit for you.

Intranasal Esketamine (Spravato)

  • FDA approved for treatment-resistant depression and depression with suicidal thoughts.
  • Submitted to insurance. Covered by most major commercial insurance plans.
  • Delivered as an intranasal spray.
  • Treatment is twice weekly for 4 weeks, then once every 1-2 weeks.
  • Medical monitoring for two hours after administration.

IV Ketamine

  • Used for the treatment of depression, PTSD, and chronic pain.
  • Not covered by insurance. Focused Life Clinic offers affordable self-pay options.
  • Delivered through an IV as a 60-minute infusion.
  • Typical treatment is twice weekly for 6 weeks, but can be flexible.
  • Medical monitoring during and after the infusion.

Both Intranasal Esketamine and IV Ketamine:

  • Patients relax in a private, comfortable room during administration and the medical monitoring period.
  • Both treatments require a driver. Patients who receive ketamine therapy cannot drive after treatment until they have had a restful night's sleep.
  • Available for patients age 18 and older.  Patients who are new to Focused Life Clinic must complete a consult to determine if they are a candidate for treatment.
